On the first episode of this season's @dragraceukbbc , East London drag artist Bimini Bon Boulash burst onto the runway naming i-D favourite Princess Julia as their ultimate UK gay icon in the first challenge.

After a mixed reaction from the judges, Bimini had to lipsync for her life (in a revealing Norwich City football look, no less), but came out on top.

In our latest D-i-Y episode, we connect the two East London legends to talk dressing up as expression, nightlife during a pandemic and the power of a close community during times of oppression. Oh the glamour!
