As a special piece of content for my followers on the fifth anniversary of National Get Up Day, I put together a montage of the progression of my 4Lz and Rippon 4Lz this season. The clips start from my very first days back on the ice after lockdown--when I hadn't properly trained a quad Lutz in an entire year--and continue all the way through Nationals.

Along the way, you'll see the good, the bad, and the ugly--a reminder that one must start somewhere, even if that somewhere is very low, and that progress is never linear. I also included a bonus clip of the most difficult 3A entry I've ever done, one I thought was impossible before trying it.

If I've learned something over my years of pushing my limits, it's that you truly never know until you try, so never EVER count yourself out. I can't even describe the number of times I've thought something was highly unlikely or borderline impossible, trying and failing many times, before ultimately succeeding. It is an unwavering loyalty to the idea that I CAN, that I WILL one day, that drives me to persevere through any circumstance and that gives me passion for the constant pursuit of self-betterment. So whenever I fall, whenever things don't go the way I expect or want, I remind myself that failure, although inevitable, is never final as long as I #getup. There is always something to learn and grow from with every negative experience--such is the process of learning and improving. This all is what it means to me to embody the spirit of #wegetup. @usfigureskating
