He's an athlete (he used to compete in freestyle skiing), my favorite sport is sleeping; he was a chef, I was a restaurant reviewer (true story, I did this when I was in college); his version of fun is being out in nature, my version of fun is looking at graphs and charts. This skiing adventure was a true test for both of us. He was so worried about me falling; I knew the only way for me to learn was to fall.
