After touring Nu-clear Sounds Tim had some very dedicated writing time, even turning down the chance to play "I Fought The Law" with Joe Strummer to stay in and write. He’d been writing for at least 6 months when Shining Light arrived and it felt like a real breakthrough. Although our label didn’t agree... We did a lot of Free All Angels near Bath at Van Morrison's studio. Including Shining Light, which we paid for ourselves as the record company didn't think it was a strong enough comeback single. Looking back we were on Top Of The Pops all the time with the 5 big Free All Angels singles and some nice awards. Burn Baby Burn was NME single of the year and Shining Light won an Ivor Novello songwriting award.
