When you fight with a friend, if you don't want to see them, you don't have to see them. But family, you have to keep seeing them. My cat Mitsu is always by my side even when I'm happy or sad. Mitsu is always there to make sure I'm not lonely.” Do you think the definition of family is changing in Korea? “I think families are becoming more understanding. Parents from past generations expected their daughters to meet any man and get married. But now, I feel like my parents' generation doesn't do that as much today. I'm past the age where I am expected to be married, but my mother never pressures me. She just tells me to do what I want to do and that it's okay to live alone, so I feel like I have a lot of freedom.
