(An energy ball that is! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry about that, not my best work 😂😩)   So I haven’t been particularly disciplined with myself for quite a while, through one thing or another & now that I’m feeling a bit better I’m done making excuses & want to make some small changes, that when done consistently will garner good results! I want to feel healthy & happy again 😍   So I’m starting by upping my daily intake of dried fruit! Super simple & really easy to do but also has a whole heap of great benefits for your body!    It’s scary to learn that 73% of adults aren’t getting their standard 5 a day - now just 30g of dried fruit equals one of your five a day & it couldn’t be easier to incorporate them into your daily diet.. grab a handful of apricots as a snack, chuck some figs in a salad (ooohhh with a bit of feta maybe?! 😍) or pop some raisins in your porridge! The possibilities are endless! And once you’ve found something that works for you - you can kick back & start reaping the rewards.. Dried fruit is packed full of nutrients & are also a great source of fibre, iron & copper- & who doesn’t want more of those? 😂😍   So in support of the Dried Fruit Alliance’s #EatMoreDriedFruit campaign I got in the kitchen & whipped up some lovely little snacks using some of my fave dried fruits! You’re looking at oatmeal & raisin cookies, date & almond energy balls & dark chocolate and coconut energy balls! They were all delicious if I do say so myself 😂 If you’re really on the health kick I’d suggest trying the energy balls, which are about 80-100kcals per ball & packed full of dried fruit, fibre & healthy fats! But if you are just looking to slowly wean yourself off the quality street & mince pies- why not try these oatmeal raisin cookies! They’re choc full of raisins & oats & are a major hit with the little ones- such a crafty way to get one of their 5 a day in them! 😂😍   So guys, I suggest we don’t be too hard on ourselves this Jan- last year was tough & lockdown is the worst- so instead be kind to yourself & make small changes to your diet which will make you feel loads happier & healthier ❤️ AD   #eatmoredriedfruit」1月26日 4時37分 - vickypattison
