It’s something about the fact that by never looking at the page, I can’t have complete control over the final outcome - that’s what I love about this kind of drawing. The discipline of not looking is weirdly addictive and fun. It brings a whole different energy to the process. I spend so much of my creative time stressing about small details, details that are rarely noticed by anyone else, ever. This kind of creating doesn’t worry about the small details and that feels very freeing.
