The new Waldorf Astoria “Ithaafushi — The Private Island” spans more than 300,000 square feet and can be bought out for $80,000 a night. The resort accommodates 24 guests who can access the island via one of the resort's six yachts, or for those who prefer seaplane views, a short flight is available. The Maldives reopened for international travel in July and while non-citizens must provide a negative Covid-19 test prior to departure, they will not be required to quarantine upon arrival.
