After landing, Navalny was escorted away by officials. His spokesperson says he was detained without explanation and was not allowed to bring his lawyer. ⁠ ⁠ Russia's Federal Penitentiary Service released a statement to state-run media agency TASS confirming Navalny was being detained, allegedly for "repeated violations of the probationary period."
