Bolts of #lightning, seen here raining down at 480 frames per second. Storm chasing really is a game of pursuit, I shot this clip while we were attempting to outpace this rapidly moving storm. The idea is to get in front of the madness, where the air is free of rain and hail and you can take in the wind sculpted monster storm as it’s coming towards you. This particular storm here was moving at about 70mph, making it really hard to outpace on the stormy highway- we eventually threw in the towel and perused another cell. I shot this out the window on a relatively low quality camera to achieve this high frame rate, not fast enough to watch the lightning truly form, but fun to see all the same. Hoping to chase again in 2021 with @nampix @krystlejwright @skiparmstrong
