Homer is home and he is ok.🙆🏻‍♀️ Yesterday i woke up and he was breathing weirdly, kinda fast and loud. So i called the vet and she told me to take him to her so he could go in an oxygen box. They kept him on it for 8 hours and he had x-rays of his inside. It was the beginning of a pulmonary edema. When checking his x-rays, the vet also noticed that his heart was very large. Like much larger than it should be.😯
So he had a shot of diuretics and a pill to take everyday. She told me the edema could go away or come back in the night so i had to watch him all night but he didn't had an other episod ans he seems ok now. So that is good. I was so scared!!!🙇🏻‍♀️
On the other hand, his heart being so big is not normal. The vet said it is because he has a cardiac disease but she can't know what it is just like that... So he's going to need a cardiac echography and an other exam to check his heart pressure. I'm waiting for the quote from the vet but it doesn't sound cheap so be prepared for me to ask for donations like very soon.😓
Sorry in advance but, again, the pandemic took my job and savings and after his previous exams just last month i'm still very broke. But maybe it will be very cheap so no need... We'll see! Anyway, Thank you already and so much for the good vibes and love yesterday, you know it always helps him and me! You all rock!!!😻
