We celebrated with a night in a cabin in the woods, cooked a delicious meal, I taught Willie how to play Othello and he promptly beat me twice 🙄 (he’s better at looking a few plays ahead) then I destroyed him in scrabble (he went kamikaze and went for big points, unfortunately for him the “words” he put down weren’t actually words and my challenging was in point, plus I’m better at spelling🤓) so I’m calling it even, ha! We found a “Best of the 90’s” record and it brought us right back to the early years of falling in love and our life together 🥰 We talked what kind of old people we want to be, and how we hope we just keep getting better with age 👵🏻❤️👴🏼 We talked mostly about how proud we are of our kiddos and thankful to have the family that we have today. It was worth every single bit of the hard work. If you’re doubting today if staying is worth it, if forgiveness is worth it, if marriage and family and everything that goes with it is worth it.
