Man, I’m tellin’ you, I just loved everything B.B. King ever did…The way he bent those notes?! Nobody resonated more & he undoubtedly represented every stage of the blues. I first met him working on the film “For Love of Ivy”, starring Sydney Poitier, which I scored, while our beloved sister, Maya Angelou, wrote the lyrics. B.B. recorded two of our songs, “B.B. Jones” & “You Put It On Me”, & I can’t even begin to express to you what that trio was like. B.B. was the KING—he took the blues from juke joints to concert halls to beyond! Missin’ you my brother. An everlasting legacy. ❤️
