ロバート・パトリックさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ロバート・パトリックInstagram)「Woke up to very sad news of the passing of two giants of Los Angeles . Tommy LaBonge was my councilmen. We became friends through his brother Bob who I worked with on the X-Files. Tom was such a great guy and whenever in my neighbourhood he would call me let me know he was there and make sure we were ok. I would see him at events and sporting events in L.A. I was the Grand Marshall of his Saint Patrick’s Day parade ( more than once) that he championed. He was so enthusiastic and loved Los Angeles with such passion. I am devastated to hear he is gone. The fact that he left us on the same day as another great figure in L.A. history who I travelled with to Afghanistan on the 2009 Spring Troop tour for the Commander of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Michael Mullen. On the USO tour I had some very funny experiences with Tommy Lasorda which I will always remember, this 84 year old man (at the time) humping it with us wearing Kevlar vest and battle helmet, getting in and out of helicopters and Humvees , bunking with the rest of us on the tour. Never complained, spreading patriotic joy and a love of America and all it stands for to all the troops we met! He brought us all to tears in the great Rotunda of Camp Victory ( Saddams old palace) when spontaneously as it was filled with hundreds of troops he just stopped and started singing “God bless America”. I can still hear and see it as I right these words. Two Tommy’s . Two Men with LA the first two letters of their last names LaBonge and Lasorda. Los Angeles truly lost a big part of its heart today. God bless both men whom I am honored to have known. I admire you! R.I.P. The first photo was taken by a neighbor when Tommy LaBonge was hiking in my canyon, the second photo I took of Tommy Lasorda sitting next to me flying in Chinook Helicopter over Afghanistan on our way to meet the 10th Mountain brigade. Look at the enthusiasm in his smile! Tough day. God speed gentlemen!」1月9日 6時08分 - ripfighter
