Did you know C.O Bigelow used to have a soda fountain?🥤⁠ Opened in 1920, our lunch counter was a popular place for the community to nosh. 🥪⁠ In the ‘50s and ‘60s, it would become a prominent social hub for many New York artists, writers, and entertainers! 🧑‍🎨 ⁠

It wasn’t uncommon to see the New York Dolls, Ed Koch, John Waters, William Kunstler, Ramsey Clark, the Belushis, and the rest of the SNL cast sitting side by side talking politics throughout the years. Some even had their own stool. ⁠

The last meal was served in 1984, but our legendary soda fountain will forever be remembered. 📜 #BigelowArchives⁠
