"For this shot, I wanted to capture one of London's most iconic landmarks, The London Eye, from a more unique perspective.

I came across this spiral railing on a stairwell down to the Embankment's underground station from Westminster Bridge and thought it would be a more interesting composition by framing the London Eye inside it.

Being that it was night when I captured this image, I set my lens to its widest aperture in order to keep my shutter speed high enough to avoid camera shake, and also manually focused on the railing with the help of focus peaking to ensure that it was in focus at such a narrow depth of field."
