This is the long march towards justice and we owe it to the passion and pain of the past and to the potential beauty of an unencumbered future for our community’s children to make this moment, and every moment on the path, a moment of purpose and dedication to realizing the serenity of real freedom. Anyone, from any ideological bent who is willing to meet in good faith and human decency is worthy of being heard out. We may move on without them but I have hope that by coming to the table with honesty and a passion for a more loving world that they will make space in their hearts to listen, to hear and to change. And by carrying our passions with compassion that we will not miss any chance to take a hand offered, even imperfectly, as we all shed the weight of our misperceptions, calcified hearts and mislead minds. We are unbuilding a blighted structure and rebuilding one of hope and we are left to work with imperfect tools.
