It said: “If your girls are looking for a ‘feel good’ task- would they want to send a Hanukkah card to my 93 year-old grandmother? She is a Holocaust survivor and living solo due to Covid. She moved during the beginning of quarantine, so she’s not with her same friend circle, but at 93, there were only one or two close friends left. I work in health care and my sisters are teachers, so we visited when we could all be outside, but now that it’s colder and her senior complex has more safety restrictions, in-person visits are not possible and she is feeling very isolated. We want to keep her safe but miss her so very much. My family wanted to do something to make her feel special this holiday season, so we are all sending cards to brighten her days. Every time we send a card, she calls to let us know and sounds so happy! I’m sure you get lots of requests so do not feel pressure to participate. But I’ll give you her address just in case.
