Realizing the preciousness of our health and families, our homes and our jobs. Grasping uncertainty and fragility for all of us and of all there is. Embracing my own strengths, as well as admitting my shortcomings and flaws while trying to be better every day. 2020 forced me personally to step into a much greater purpose than my own identity. I talked to my children about always choosing to be a part of the solution, being honest and courageous, and never fearing failure, discomfort or conflict. And I learned that it’s not enough to hope for change, but to make it. 2020 showed me that claiming and loudly representing my ancestry is a must if I am to be respected today, and my children in the future. And I saw that just like all my joy and my blessings, all hardships and adversity, trauma and mistakes, are undoubtedly part of the script that was written for me. So I accept 2020 as the year that showed us all parts of humanity, the good, the bad and the ugly, and everything in between. And I am overjoyed and excited about the promise of a new day, a new chapter, a new year filled with more love, life, and laughter. For us all. Here’s to 2021 🙏🏾❤️✊🏾」1月2日 13時42分
