It’s obvious we took a shining from 2020. be it emotionally, mentally, physically, or circumstantially, these last 12 months have launched us into a new realm of reality. it showed us all the little cracks in our (both personal and shared) armour, but it also reflected back our strength, compassion, and resilience. thinking of the people who put their lives at risk in any capacity to save lives this year, and those who were put through the turmoil without a choice. I know the clock doesn’t strike 12 and things become good again, but I think maybe if our hope is to revert back in the first place, we’re looking the wrong way. We can only make it good if we use what we’ve found to rewire the machine and do better. this was a call to finally show up—for both ourselves and one another.
