I was lucky to travel through Djenne, Mali, on an expedition to the Hand Of Fatima in 2004. Djenne is an ancient trading city and one of the oldest known cities in sub- Saharan Africa. The architecture is exquisite. I snapped this moment on an early morning jet lagged stroll.
