#ucbsunset was flawed and magical. That community has been very good to me- I got a career and a wife out of it- and the closing of the Sunset theater is a loss. But people are more important than buildings, and there are some awesome people associated with that place.
This shot is from the theater’s opening when the Harold teams all had theme rooms - when I finally worked up the courage to go into the COOL DADS ROOM, one of the cool dads announced ‘hey, that’s my son’s friend John - he’s on the, uh, “Bang Bang Science Kids Show.”’
You probably had to be there, but jamie and I have continued to use that nickname for that particular show.
