When I was about to die in the hospital, (I even recorded a video with my will that my cousin Veronica has), Don Mauricio Sulaiman, President of The World Boxing Council, whom I’ve never met up to that point, called me and gave me strength, because he suffered from the same diverticulitis that I had. He made me promise that I would fight with all my being to survive, he offered to send me the nurse that helped cured him, and even though we don’t go to lunch or social events, he offered me his friendship. Remember, the President of the World Boxing Council called a stranger to help him out. That’s Humanity at its finest. I never met his dad, Don Jose Sulaiman, one of my Heroes, but I don’t need to, because I know his son, and his son’s actions speak for the Father, so the humane quality that Don José had, runs in the blood of his descendants. So in a way, I got to meet my Hero Don Jose through his family. Happy Birthday Don Mauricio. I will be forever grateful for that gesture that you had with me. The only thing that I wish for you on your birthday Don Mauricio, is that wherever you may walk, Existence showers you with Flowers for the King that you really are.
