In 87 my drug addiction was so bad that I’d sell stacks of records for drug money to @rhino_records when they simply had a store in West LA. This, was among some of the records I sold back then. FF to 2020, this came back to me. Turns out @jasonmartin5177 hung onto it all these years and it has never been opened or played. Just archived for 33 years! I opened it and it looks brand new! Anyway, @jasonmartin5177 @realid and @lyricvandal got it back to me through my friend @toddnewman - I was shocked. Thanks so much guys! I was told they felt it should go to its rightful owner and they saved it for me. Part of me wants to play it and part of me wants to frame it. I will likely do both. I will tell you this... its an awful humbling/humiliating feeling when your addiction is so deep that you sell something you worked your whole life to make for a few dollars just so you’re not sick anymore. As sad as that sounds, its even more rewarding to receive it back with a clear head all these years later. A reminder of where I was and how far I’ve come.
