There’s no question that this year has put us all to the test in ways we never could have imagined.. our world has faced more hardships and loss in the past 6 plus months than it has in the past 6 years. The need for reflection and introspection has been forced upon us, and it’s hard to even begin to describe how much this year has changed so many, including myself. We’ve been forced to have uncomfortable conversations, deal with emotions and mental health that ran so deep and were so serious, and ground ourselves through it all with gratitude for the things we do have. The little things that have become precious, holding onto them so tightly. We’ve learned that we all have something to give, and I personally feel this massive responsibility to use this very platform in new ways: to help others, to spread positive messages, to educate, to influence for good, to facilitate change through our community, to amplify the voices of others, and to share more purposefully and mission driven, more transparently and authentically. This is my year in review, it’s flawed and imperfect, I’ve made mistakes along the way and own the need to do better, always. I feel extremely grateful every single day for the opportunity to grow. I know so many of you are tired and just want 2020 to be over, I get it and always want to be here for you. It helps me to remember strength grows in the moments when you think you can’t go on, but continue anyway. You are brave and YOU CAN, so let’s move forward into a new year together. Thank you to every health professional & essential worker for being the real heroes of 2020. And thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for following and for being my rock.
