Discover Earthさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Discover EarthInstagram)「The Atacama Giant (in Spanish: Gigante de Atacama) is a huge anthropomorphic geoglyph located on the flank of the Cerro Unita (1,245 m) about 15 km northeast of the Chilean city of Huara and 90 km from that of Iquique, in the Atacama Desert. Visible from the ground unlike the great figures of Nazca and almost 85 m long, it lies on the route of the Inca Trail, which is regularly used for transhumance. It is assumed that it represents either a shaman or yatiri, or the Andean deity Tunupa-Tarapaca, who made a journey from Lake Titicaca to the Pacific Ocean.
