This mornings run was tit numbingly cold but good. Couldn’t feel my face or hands but my brain was fired up and whirring.
At the moment we’re collectively nostalgic. Whether that be to last Christmas or years previous when things seemed easier and freer. Yet I think that often with nostalgia we are not yearning for a particular past moment, occasion, holiday or relationship, we’re merely missing who we believed we were in that moment. A more fun filled version of ourselves, one that felt better, looked better, functioned better. A version of ourselves before the shit hit the fan. The one who didn’t feel like half a person who has left a little of themselves in the past. Yet get this....there is no past you or me. There is no better version of us from another era. Equally there is no better us in the future. We can summon those parts of ourselves in any moment if we chose to not be so bound by circumstance. I know that is much easier said than done but there is liberation in there somewhere. We are much more than our physical body, our brain, our thoughts. We expand so much further than that. We are all in that beautiful sunrise connected at all times to nature, magic and so much more. #rememberyourmagic #rememberyouremagic
