While chilly temperatures might discourage you from heading outdoors, often the clearest views of the night sky can be found on cold nights. Last week, SIGMA Ambassador @babaktafreshi took advantage of the cooler weather and captured the Geminid meteor shower with the SIGMA fp and 20mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens.

The 22 frames in this composite image are selected and layered from a 2-hour time lapse sequence made in Cape Ann, 40 miles north of Boston, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A single 10-second exposure of this sequence at ISO 3200 appears in the next image.
