Sakura of America（サクラクレパス）さんのインスタグラム写真 - (Sakura of America（サクラクレパス）Instagram)「When creating this piece, I relied heavily on my 005 MICRON for the darker areas, and my 003 MICRON for the very small, detailed areas, such as the face and beak of this heron. I sketched out my idea using my Sakura pencil and then started on the main character in ink. I find that my ink work comes out the best when I work on watercolor paper, which is super durable and accepts the ink and graphite super well. To capture all of the little details, the paper will have to be drawn on for many hours which is why it is very important to work on paper with a strong surface.⁠⠀ •••⁠⠀ This piece is titled “Herman the Heron and his Flying Flounders”, and is 11”x14” in size.
