Andy was one of the original staff from @pacificedgeclimbinggym that introduced me to climbing in 1993 and has been one of my closest friends ever since. Even though he does have a tendency always to say “that was the most amazing thing I’ve ever .... “ I can objectively say , with his new FA on the Incredible Hulk and his recent FA “king of the jungle” that this was maybe his best year ever as a climber and he’s soon to be 50. Pretty rad dude. Love you and am so proud. I have a unique connection to this line “the king of the jungle” in Pine creek canyon in Bishop. I went an scoped it a few years ago looking for a futuristic line and then told Andy about it. Also , 20 years ago a lived at the foot of this canyon and was totally ignorant of what was right in my back yard. I guess we had plenty to do put in the buttermilk’s with so much untapped potential still. Anyways Very cool to see it come to fruition. Even cooler to see these amazing images from Andy’s son @cashtothemax . Love and miss you guys! Can’t wait until all of this passes and we can reunite in CA and over here in Spain.
