After seeing the initial specs of the two cameras, I became very excited at the idea of adding one of these two to my bag. I was contacted by the Nikon team to be one of the first to get a hands-on feel with the Z 6II, along with the NIKKOR Z 14-24 f/2.8 S lens. After just over 24 hours of shooting, I have been blown away by both. Whilst I shoot landscapes predominately and use manual focus, I had the opportunity to take some portraits of a friend down by the beach. The speed of the auto-focus compared to my Z 7, just blew me away. The face detection worked perfectly and attempted to follow my model as she turned her back to me and then quickly locked back on once she turned around. I fired off quite a number of shots as she moved around the scene.
