I can hardly contain my excitement! My favourite trifle of all time, fresh from the pages of #CookEatRepeat is #RecipeOfTheDay. Using newly-in-season Yorkshire forced rhubarb, in all its exuberant pinkness, it’s my Rhubarb and Custard Trifle. It’s a must for my Christmas table.

(The red vermouth in it is essential, I feel. But if you haven’t got any, it’s worth having in the kitchen anyway: great for meat sauces, stews and to rescue too-bitter gravy!)
