During those days late in the year, the sun leaves the valley rather early and only the highest larches are still glowing in the evening sun. Although definitely not a secret spot, the Val Morteratsch in the Engadin is worth a trip in all seasons, although the increasing speed of the melting glacier makes me sad every time I visit this beautiful place.
