It's a story of two Christmas Day streamers: Wonder Woman 1984 and Soul.

In his review of #WonderWoman1984 (HBO Max, Dec. 25), chief critic @rilaws calls the sequel to Patty Jenkins's 2017 smash hit "light on its feet, colorful and playful in a way not seen elsewhere in the DC Universe." Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pescal, and (not quite a spoiler alert) Chris Pine all rise to the challenge of meeting the film's uncool-meets-earnest '80s tone—even if, altogether, it would have played out better on a big screen.

Meanwhile, #PixarSoul (Disney+, Dec. 25) gets metaphysical with a Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey-led story about music and the afterlife that will turn you inside out. Despite some distracting hijinks that threaten to obscure the film's primary force—its music—Soul manages to be heartwarming and thoughtful about aging and mortality regardless.
