テス・ホリデーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (テス・ホリデーInstagram)「A year ago today I was laying in bed & my friend Holly text me and said “I’m so sorry about your friend Cax” & I laughed & replied “what are you talking about??” thinking she was mistaken about something. Laughing is sometimes my first reaction to difficult news, & little did I know it would be quite a while before I laughed again. Then, I started saying out loud “please God, please God please god” as I furiously typed Cax’s name into IG. Her page pulled up, and I screamed. I don’t know how long I screamed, I don’t know how long I cried, but I knew I had never felt a loss like that. I had just FT with @mamacax to tell her about my divorce, she had gushed about her partner & how happy she was, we just laughed together, she had just scolded me for not eating enough food & looking after myself. I didn’t understand. I spent that day scrolling through IG pages that shared memories of her, anything to feel close to her, and I discovered @trevor_stuurman & we unexpectedly forged a friendship because of our love for her. That’s how powerful she was, & still is. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have met @findingpaola who I’m honored to call my friend as well. To have been loved by Cacsmy was an extreme honor & I’m so grateful for the time we shared on earth. This photo of her always brings a smile to my face because it was her first time at Disneyland & I remember little girls asking if she was a princess all day, & her laughing with them. She looked so beautiful. I also remember & her firmly telling the Disney employee on the Peter Pan ride that was trying to kick us off 🙃 that her leg wouldn’t bend anymore to fit into the ride & that they needed to watch how they spoke to her & make their rides more accommodating.
