I have a go to story I usually use. It involves your classic -girl gets heart broken- girl goes to beach to talk to God-girl packs up her life and moves to NYC and now you see her on TV on Friday nights 🤩Woo! I’ve had a lot of time between me and that story so it’s pretty easy to tell. I know how to punch up the good parts to make ya cry or cheer. ... This time it was with Nicole. I had to start telling a new truth. So I pulled on my big girl pants one @glennondoyle and @brenebrown pant leg at a time and spoke. Basically in a nut shell: your girls #bipolar. Yeah I hash tagged it. Turns out lots of people are and this one really blew my mind, LOTS OF PEOPLE AREN’T! Like lots of people. You can imagine my shock when it was explained to me by several professionals, that some people DON’T wake up every morning thinking “shit, I made it through the night. That’s a real bummer.” So with lots of guidance I’ve spent the past 4 years working on all the mess I’d made. Sorry, my illness made. It’s still hard for me to not take ALLL the credit.
