Many great champions during the 80s. The Irishman Stephen Roche was wearing the Carrera jersey in 1987, when he achieved a Triple Crown with overall victories in the Giro, Tour, and World Cycling Championship.
The year before Roche’s exploits, for the first time in history an American, Greg LeMond, won the Tour de France, and Campagnolo was on his bicycles.
In those same years, two Italian racers became world champions, Moreno Argentin in 1986 and Maurizio Fondriest in 1988.
