ミリー・マッキントッシュさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ミリー・マッキントッシュInstagram)「Sienna is 7 and a half months old now and as any parent knows, it’s a beautiful yet complicated age. She’s is so keen to be busy! She is constantly moving, learning and interacting, she is already trying to stand up and I can see her yearning to be more mobile, I think she’ll be crawling any day now! I’ve been feeling a bit conflicted emotionally, because every time she reaches a new milestone, I burst with pride and then my heart sinks with sadness a little as she gains her independence. When I hold her close for a cuddle she pushes away and just wants to climb on me and explore, she won’t stay still for a second unless she’s asleep. Her routine (which is a life saver) also means she doesn’t nap on me anymore and the only time I feel I get to hold her in my arms is when I’m giving her a bottle (which she finishes in 5 minutes.) My little baby is growing up so fast! It feels like only a week ago all her 6-9-month clothes were too big and suddenly they’re all a bit too snug! She now faces out in the buggy on our walks, her mind is like a sponge absorbing everything she sees and interacts with, but I miss looking at her little face. I’m not complaining at all, I love seeing her take leaps in her development each week, it’s such a joy but it’s also tinged with a little sadness each day she needs me less. I’m learning to cherish the little moments each day, and I sway between wanting her to stay tiny forever, to getting excited about all the things she’ll eventually go on to do in life.
