A Christmas miracle! ❤️ We’re so happy to share the exciting news that a little pygmy possum has been found in a bushfire affected area on @authentickangarooisland, a sign of continued recovery that delivers much-needed hope and joy this holiday season! There were fears this tiny tree-dwelling species was wiped out after bushfire destroyed their habitat in @southaustralia almost a year ago, so when @kilandforwildlife discovered this teeny critter it was understandably a joyous occasion! We’re thankful for the incredible and tireless work that our conservation groups continue to do, both here and in other recovering regions across the country 🙏. #KangarooIsland is full of hidden surprises, so if you’re looking for a feel-good getaway, full of natural beauty, wildlife, incredible produce and heart-warming stories, this is the place for you.
