Then you go into labor (also hard work), followed by giving birth (yikes), and then you have a newborn who is so effing beautiful it makes it all worth it. But caring for that newborn and caring for your body after all of that is also a challenge. Then your maternity leave ends and you go back to work and before you know it your baby is crawling, walking, talking... and it all happens so damn fast. So I’m just posting to remind myself not to get too distracted with trying desperately to get my abs back, or trying to figure out the perfect schedule, or planning out our future too much. This guy is already 3 months old and I feel like it doesn’t even make sense that he isn’t a tiny newborn potato anymore.
