This was a breakfast at the edge…(literally) - as this unique boutique hotel is called The Edge by @oysterresidences and it’s located in a village called Karaağaç, high in the mountains near Fethiye on the Lycian Way in Turkey. We arrived out of season and hadn’t realised that the hotel had just closed but as we had driven an hour up into the mountains, we decided to stay. We were the only ones there, there was no dinner or any restaurants or markets open in the area, so we managed to find a local villager who made us a typical Turkish dinner of kuru fasulye (beans with rice) and we ate that huddled together in the cosy living room.   It was a unique experience, the only noise you could hear for miles around were the bells jingling from around the mountain goats necks and after a very peaceful sleep, we woke up to this delicious breakfast we managed to put together.
