We wrote and recorded it in a few days and due to limited equipment it’s got this groovy, old-school lo-fi sound. The song is sung from the perspective of a present wrapped up under the tree, waiting to be opened. It is also an ode to anyone who suffers at xmas time and to all the families and friends who have loved ones who have committed suicide this time of year and the survivors. This is a time coming up that is full of cheer for many, but can also be an extremely lonely and depressing time for others. Call your loved ones. Make sure they’re ok.
