INTERVIEW Magazineさんのインスタグラム写真 - (INTERVIEW MagazineInstagram)「“Genre is such an aid in these sorts of movies, because there’s no suspense,” #MackenzieDavis tells @charlizeafrica about her new holiday movie @happiestseason. “It’s like a horror movie. You know that certain people are going to die, but you know that someone’s going to live at the end. And with romantic comedies, you know that there’s going to be a happy part and then there’s going to be a lot of difficulty and they almost won’t make it, but you always know they’re going to end up fine at the end. I think especially in the limited canon of mainstream queer stories, that certainty that they’re going to be okay at the end is never part of the story. And so, by taking a formulaic genre and only changing the people in the primary roles, you get all the safety of it, and it still has a little something different. It’s a familiar way to enter a world that maybe, for whatever reason, people don’t seek out or are uncomfortable with. It’s like, ‘No, it’s this thing you know. You love this thing! Join us.’” 🌈At the link in our bio, the former #Tully costars discuss the delicacy of a straight woman telling a queer story, the intensity of working with #KristenStewart, and Davis’s “year of big fucking jumps.” Photographed by @jaimelopezcano and styled by @rudiedwards.」12月3日 4時29分 - interviewmag
