This #tbt post is about GRATITUDE.

In years past, Thanksgiving has been a time when Lidè's co-founders, staff, teachers, participants, and visiting master teachers and donors could gather together at the Lidè House in Gonaives, Haiti, to learn from each other and plan for the future. In addition to teacher trainings and visits to program sites, these groups would gather for a blended "Thanksgiving" feast, sometimes with ingredients hand-carried in luggage especially for the occasion. (A favorite side dish of our Haitian staff? Cornbread stuffing!)

These occasions allowed us to celebrate each other and steep in the blessings and gratitude of our shared goal of educating and uplifting young women, as well as take a greatly deserved break to play games and share a meal. Although we will not be together again this year, we are grateful to continue to work together and create new ways to support our Lidè girls, their families, and our communities.

As you sit down with your loved ones near and far (and "virtually" near), we wish to thank you for your continued support.
