I met Orlando Pita early on in my career.  We seemed to speak the same visual language and have the same reactions. Suddenly my pictures were not about a hairdo anymore, but about a haircut! After the eighties women had transitioned from being 'done up' at the hair salon to wearing their hair naturally, and letting it be defined by the cut rather than hair style.
Hair can be everything. Orlando can look at your face and just know what suits you. He knows how to work the proportions to enhance someone’s features, and give not a haircut but a look.

Conocí a Orlando Pita a inicios de mi carrera. Hablábamos el mismo lenguaje visual y teníamos las mismas reacciones. De repente, mis fotos ya no se trataban de un peinado, ¡sino de un corte de pelo! Después de los ochenta, las mujeres habían pasado de ir a la peluquería a ser "producidas", a usar su cabello natural, y dejar que lo defina el corte en lugar del peinado.
El cabello puede serlo todo. Orlando puede mirar un rostro y saber qué es lo mejor. Sabe cómo trabajar las proporciones para realzar los rasgos y dar no un corte de pelo, sino un look.
