Amongst the scouted images I saw was one with a big metal and neon sign, with black and white roof covering. I was intent to see this place so once in the hotel I made plans and persuaded Bono to come with me. The place was called Million Dollar Hotel and that name was in sharp contrast to the fortunes of its inhabitants which were mostly down and outs with the check-in counter build like a fortress. Quite intimidating. Once we got onto the rooftop we knew we had to do stills there which took place 2 days later. This late afternoon photograph of Edge is just one of the many images that I treasure from that trip.
