This is my Bay Laurel tree that I planted 8 years ago when my wife thought it would be great to have a fresh bay leaf for cooking. In Greece, the Laurel tree is associated with Apollo and his love for Daphne. In Rome, they made wreathes out of Laurel branches and bestowed them on victorious citizens. Last night @ジュリアナ・デヴァー made soup and I felt victorious when I remembered we had bay leaves growing in our driveway so I plucked a single leaf from my Laurel tree. The soup was victorious too although @ジュリアナ・デヴァー felt the potato to celery ratio was unbalanced. Anybody making soup this week need a leaf?
