Think #COVID19 has spared children? Think again. A new analysis ahead of #WorldChildrensDay has shown that children and young people account for 1 in 9 of reported COVID-19 infections. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Not only has the pandemic directly affected children’s health, but it has also disrupted their education and access to vital vaccines, nutrition and mental health services.

The COVID-19 crisis is a child rights crisis. We must reimagine a world where children are at the heart of every country’s COVID-19 response.
