There’s the Director of Photography that makes sure our shots and lighting look perfect. (our DP on ALICE also worked on WATCHMEN, he’s truly incredible to watch and learn from.) There’s the continuity person that literally watches for mistakes like someone’s hair was in front when it was supposed to be behind. There’s the sound engineer who makes sure the mixes sound good on set as well as the boom operator that’s up close holding a lower mic for extra support during scenes. (The mics are heavy btw and some scenes are really long!) You have the PA’s who make sure everyone is where they need to be, they are assistants to production. You also have camera asst’s that mark where you are supposed to walk to ensure shot accuracy. And assist the camera operator and all their needs. As well as the actual camera operator.(They are amongst the highest paid on set. Sometimes they are locked in before the actors.) The job requires a lot of physical stability and patience depending on their speciality. Then you have the FIRST AD. Very integral part of a shoot. They have one of the hardest jobs working with locations in order to make sure we can shoot this day or that day and what times. Whew! Not to mention handling all the personalities on set. We have an amazing FIRST AD on “ALICE” ❤️ And the GRIPS! We can never forget the grips. On the first day of “ALICE” I got reconnected with the same Key Grip that I worked with on “Akeelah and The Bee” and “The Longshots”. They are the ones that essentially set up everything! They are a huge back bone on a onset production. There’s also KRAFTY! KRAFTY makes food and keeps snacks around all day on set and ensure that we eat while we work as sometimes we don’t get to stop to eat. (Outside of one lunch) Anyhow! There are so many more from costumes, to electrics, to hair and makeup, to transpo, to locations, to PROPS(not to be confused with Art Department because props handles everything an actor TOUCHES). I say that to say, the actors are not the coolest on most sets. It’s always THE CREW!」11月18日 1時33分 - keke
