Athletes from all over Europe travelling to Russia, staying in hotels, restaurants, all in contact with many people locally and international should be prevented at times like these. Many countries have lockdowns in place, travel restrictions apply, climbing gyms are closed and not all athletes have access to training facilities. So my question is: how can this be a fair competition??? Isn't the safety of athletes, coaches, organizers and volunteers more important than hosting a competition? Even worse is that the ECH will be a qualifying event for the Olympic Games.
